Free Laptop distribution to the bonafide students of Aligarh Muslim University under the ambitious scheme of the Government of Uttar Pradesh will take place on October 28, 2013 at Dhanipur Mandi.
According to the notification issued by the Dean Students' Welfare, Prof. Anis Ismail, the bonafide students of AMU who have passed Class XII/SSSC examination in 2011-12 and got their original marks sheet verified by the DSW office after applying for the laptop, will get free laptop in a programme organized by the District Administration of Aligarh.
He said that the district administration shall provide separate buses for girls and boys for transportation of students of AMU to the laptop distribution venue. The buses will be available near Proctor's Office and will leave for the venue at 6:30 am.
Prof. Ismail said that eligible students are advised to collect their Identity Cards provided by the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), Aligarh from DSW office during working hours on October 25-26, 2013.
He, however, made it clear that to collect identity card issued by the DIOS, the students should bring with them their AMU ID Card, original marks sheet of Class XII/SSSC of 2012 and admission card of the session 2012-13. He said that DIOS-issued ID Card and Class XII original marks sheet will be necessary for getting the laptop.
