The Department of Moalajat, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Faculty of Unani Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing a two-day National Workshop on Nuskha Navisi (Prescription Writing) which was inaugurated today.
Inaugurating the workshop, Chief Guest, Dr. Mohd Khalid Siddiqui, former Director General, CCRUN, New Delhi, said that the student of Unani Medicine should develop self-confidence and become good physician. Dr. Khalid said that the special attention should be given on the PG students of Unani medicine, so that they get more additional experience in the field of Unani Medicine. He also suggested to write a book on Nuskha Navisi.
Prof. M H Baig, Dean, Faculty of medicine, while presiding over the function, said that Unani Medicine is most noble profession resulting in treatment which is responsible for the treatment of disease in the Human beings to make them healthy. After getting this knowledge the students open their clinics. Prof. Baig said to listen, to examine and to treat the patient when the patient comes to clinic, it is very important to listen the patients' history. He said that this traditional and Unani Medicine was introduced in India by Arabs and flourished in Tughlaq and Mughal period. Prof. Baig said it is shocking that during British rule Unani medicine suffered due to the withdrawal of government patronage.
Prof. Abu Bakr Khan, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine, said that the Nuskha Navisi is important components of Unani Medicine and it is as old as human beings.
Prof. Abdul Mannan, organizing Secretary and Chairman, Department of Moalijat, said that Nuskha Navisi is mainly taken into account because of its immense significance in the process of Unani treatment. He said experts of various relevant fields will discuss the theme during the two day workshop.
